A novel method based on cross correlation maximization, for pattern matching by means of a single parameter. Application to the human voice

چکیده
This work develops a cross correlation maximization technique, based on statistical concepts, for pattern matching purposes in time series. The technique analytically quantifies the extent of similitude between a known signal within a group of data, by means of a single parameter. Specifically, the method was applied to voice recognition problem, by selecting samples from a given individual’s recordings of the 5 vowels, in Spanish. The frequency of acquisition of the data was 11.250 Hz. A certain distinctive interval was established from each vowel time series as a representative test function and it was compared both to itself and to the rest of the vowels by means of an algorithm, for a subsequent graphic illustration of the results. We conclude that for a minimum distinctive length, the method meets resemblance between every vowel with itself, and also an irrefutable difference with the rest of the vowels for an estimate length of 30 points (~2 10 s).

Image matching is a critical process in various photogrammetry, computer vision and remote sensing applications such as image registration, 3D model reconstruction, change detection, image fusion, pattern recognition, autonomous navigation, and digital elevation model (DEM) generation and orientation. The primary goal of the image matching process is to establish the correspondence between two ...
متن کاملA Comparative Study of Multi-Attribute Continuous Double Auction Mechanisms
Auctions have been as a competitive method of buying and selling valuable or rare items for a long time. Single-sided auctions in which participants negotiate on a single attribute (e.g. price) are very popular. Double auctions and negotiation on multiple attributes create more advantages compared to single-sided and single-attribute auctions. Nonetheless, this adds the complexity of the auctio...

In this paper, a new method to selecting different viewing angles feature vector is introduced to recognition different types of Helicopters. Feature vector 32 components based on characteristics of the shape, Area and a length to describe a binary two-dimensional image was created, shape feature and length feature not only effective but area features effective and were used. New features vecto...
متن کاملA Novel Technique for Steganography Method Based on Improved Genetic Algorithm Optimization in Spatial Domain
This paper devotes itself to the study of secret message delivery using cover image and introduces a novel steganographic technique based on genetic algorithm to find a near-optimum structure for the pair-wise least-significant-bit (LSB) matching scheme. A survey of the related literatures shows that the LSB matching method developed by Mielikainen, employs a binary function to reduce the numbe...
متن کاملLocal Signal Models for Image Sequence Analysis
The thesis describes novel methods for image motion computation and template matching. A multiscale algorithm for energy-based estimation and representation of local spatiotemporal structure by second order symmetric tensors is presented. An efficient spatiotemporal implementation of a signal modelling method called normalized convolution is described. This provides a means to handle signals wi...
